THE RECENTLY PASSED CORONAVIRUS STIMULUS PACKAGE MAY PROVIDE FINANCIAL BENEFITS TO YOU
On Friday, the federal government passed a massive stimulus package called the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (the “Cares Act”), that was then signed by President Trump. It contains numerous program elements that everyone should become familiar with as we deal with the challenging impacts to business and workers. It might be worth your time to research details related to stimulus checks that will be sent to eligible taxpayers within a target date of around 3 weeks, unemployment compensation benefits that have been broadened and expanded, new SBA funding options for business that have been streamlined to help cover the costs of payroll, lease and mortgage payments and other qualifying factors, as well as expanded requirements of employers to assist in the effort to minimize the spread of the virus. We are encouraging our business customers to give us a call to review these programming possibilities. Many of you have already reached out to us. We will work together to determine potential solutions.
As individuals, I encourage you to consider the stimulus or unemployment funds that you may receive be used to assist in meeting personal obligations and living expenses, helping to avoid taking a step back financially. Excess funds, if any, could also be held in an emergency reserve account until the national health and economic issues stabilize. Please visit our website, as we will update informational links that you may find helpful. We will make every effort to keep you informed and up to date as to the stimulus package factors that could impact you.
